Design Notes

We live in a world where often love feels like a feeling that is hard to find, but it's the only way forward. With this collection our main hope is that we remind ourselves to make space for it–to show up in unexpected ways

Our love collection is a tribute to two worlds: one where love is lived, not spoken, and one where it’s whispered through walls, stages, and subcultures—an underground anthem of resistance.

For us, a small team, the events unfolding across the world over the last few months and years have been disheartening. They have demanded that we reckon with the world, and with ourselves.

When Shan and Seema first shared their vision, it was about jewelry as an intimate whisper between the wearer and the piece. We imagined Käma jewelry as fluid, sensual, powerful, yet delicate—visceral qualities you'd feel at first glance.

Jewelry is often made to be seen. Kama is meant to be felt. Every piece serves a purpose—anklets and girdles mark rhythm, earrings signal pace, and necklaces guide touch—each one shaping how a woman moves, how she feels, how she carries herself.

As we envisioned the cast of Rasä—the motifs and shapes that are embodied in dance—we were drawn to the beauty and significance of circular forms. It is a shape that feels both grounding and uplifting, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things. Additionally, we sought motifs that embody the deep connection of a dancer—to nature, the dichotomy of life, and the feeling of being whole and complete.
